Thank you for visiting the website for the Oakdale Federation which came into effect in June 2019.  The Federation brings together Oakdale Infants' School and Oakdale Junior School  with one Governing Body.  Mr Visvanathan, Executive Head, Mrs Ditchburn, Head of School at Oakdale Infants' School and Miss Smith, Head of School at Oakdale Juniors School, are proud to be leading such academically successful and happy community schools.

Equality lies at the core of everything that we believe and do.  We know that every child has unique talents and it is our job to help them shine as they move through each academic year.  All children, however young, can develop respect, responsibility, resilience, resourcefulness and the ability to reflect.  these values will stand them in good stead as they become global citizens and they form the basis of our vibrant, safe and happy schools.

Our schools are on separate sites, approximately a 3 minutes walk from one another, but we work very closely together sharing all policies to provide continuity for parents and children.  There are many opportunities for the schools to come together such as national celebrations and PTFA fetes and the majority of children transition from the Infants' to the Juniors each year.  We have an extensive transition plan in place which includes Meet the Teacher afternoon, playtime visits, tours for parents/carers and additional visits for any children that need further support.
