Oakdale Infants' and Oakdale Junior schools have one governing body, fulfilling the role of 'critical friends' for the federation.  Their role is to support and challenge the schools to develop over time within three main areas of responsibility:

• ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
• holding senior leaders to account for the educational performance of the schools and their pupils, and the effective and efficient performance management of staff
• overseeing the schools' financial performance and making sure their money is well spent
